Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 1, 2025 • Effective immediately

Summary: RapidCPS is a free gaming performance testing platform. We collect minimal data — only what's needed to run leaderboards and improve the platform. We do not sell your personal information. You can use most features without creating an account.

1. Information We Collect

RapidCPS collects information in the following ways:

Leaderboard Submissions: When you voluntarily submit a score to our leaderboard, we collect your chosen username, your test result (CPS score or reaction time), the test type, and the timestamp. Usernames are chosen by you — do not use your real name if you prefer privacy.

Usage Data: Like most websites, we automatically collect certain information when you visit RapidCPS. This includes your IP address (anonymized), browser type, device type, pages visited, and session duration. This data is used solely for analytics and platform improvement.

Local Storage: We use your browser's local storage to save your theme preference (dark/light mode) and recent test results. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

Contact Form Submissions: If you contact us via our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message content solely to respond to your inquiry.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To display global leaderboards and rankings
  • To maintain the technical operation of our platform
  • To analyze usage patterns and improve our testing tools
  • To respond to your support requests and inquiries
  • To detect and prevent abuse or spam submissions
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not use your data for targeted advertising, do not build behavioral profiles, and do not sell your information to any third parties.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

RapidCPS uses minimal cookies and tracking technologies:

Essential Cookies: These are necessary for the platform to function and cannot be disabled. They include session management and security tokens.

Analytics: We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand how users interact with RapidCPS. These tools collect aggregated, anonymized data only.

No Third-Party Advertising Cookies: RapidCPS does not place third-party advertising cookies on your device. Any advertising served through Google AdSense may set their own cookies subject to Google's privacy policy.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

RapidCPS does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share data in these limited circumstances:

Service Providers: We use trusted third-party providers for hosting and infrastructure. These providers access data only as necessary to perform their services and are contractually bound to protect it.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, property, or the safety of users.

Public Leaderboard Data: Usernames and scores you submit to our leaderboard are displayed publicly. Choose your username accordingly.

5. Data Retention

We retain leaderboard data indefinitely as it is part of the historical record of the platform. Usage analytics are retained for a maximum of 26 months. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months after resolution.

You may request deletion of your leaderboard entries or contact form data by contacting us at the address below. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

RapidCPS is designed for general audiences including minors who play Minecraft. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

The platform is structured to work with minimal personal data — leaderboard submissions require only a username (which need not be real).

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your data
  • Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
  • Objection: Object to processing of your data

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us via our contact page.

8. Security

RapidCPS takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our systems use HTTPS encryption, and database access is restricted to authorized personnel only.

However, no transmission over the internet or electronic storage method is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of RapidCPS after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
